The Super Bowl of florists, Valentine‘s Day is celebrated by millions, designated as a day to cherish love and affection. Whereas some florists shy away from the traditional red roses altogether, we wholeheartedly embrace them.
A symbol of pure, unconditional love, and commitment, the red rose carries significant synonymous to the values displayed by patients, families, and medical professionals everyday in pediatric care. Created with the intent to raise awareness for pediatric cardiology disease, the Red Rose Project is an expression of gratitude to the resilience and passion for all those who have been impacted by pediatric cardiology.
With over 300 roses passed out at Mott’s on Valentine’s Day in 2023, the profound joy radiating from this simple act of kindness blossomed into a reminder of why we are all here.
To those who have devoted their lives to pediatric cardiology medical advancements, to the incredible staff at Mott and the University Hospital Adult Congenital Pediatric Care, to my colleagues on the Mott & VonVoigtlander Advisory Board, to every single donor, and mostly — to my dear family and friends.
Roses gifted to those at Mott’s are available year-round to purchase. We welcome you to write a note to go along with your order but strictly prohibit seeking or engaging in any form of (direct) contact with any recipients. Affiliates of Anna Lee Floristry must uphold and honor any and all requirements regarding patient, professional, and personal privacy through abiding by guidelines set in place with HIPPA regulations and any other means to protect receipients.
